Elizabeth Cuzner -Director of Kindermusik at LUMC
& Kindermusik Maestro
Elizabeth started in Kindermusik as a parent in a Village class with her oldest son.
As Matthew progressed through the program, and her second son was now in a
Village class, Elizabeth was approached by her son’s educator & previous
Kindermusik Maestro, about teaching Kindermusik in her studio! With her
background in music & teaching, Kindermusik was a perfect fit!
Elizabeth began her Kindermusik career the fall of 2004. She has a BS degree
in Special Education with a vocal emphasis as well as 23 hours of graduate work
towards an M.ed in Behavior Disorders and Autism. Elizabeth spent 5 years
teaching elementary school before her children were born, and now continues
her classroom teaching as a substitute teacher at Oakhill Day School when she
has a free moment. Elizabeth’s youngest son, Colin, recently followed in his
brother’s footsteps and graduated after 7 years in the Kindermusik program. “It
has been amazing to see them grow and progress musically over the years! The
skills they learned in Kindermusik have helped them during their elementary
school years in many ways!”
Elizabeth and the Kindermusik at LUMC studio have earned the
prestigious, Maestro status for the 2008-2009 Kindermusik year & also the
2009-2010 Kindermusik year, earning them a spot in the top 5% of all
Kindermusik programs worldwide!
Jennifer Petty--Licensed Educator
Jennifer has loved music all her life. As a young child her passion for music
prompted her parents to find a piano so she could take lessons. Little did they
know that their child, who begged to take music lessons, would play the french
horn, study music in college, and choose music education for a career! Jennifer
holds music degrees from Truman State University and the University of
Kentucky. Teaching music to children is her passion. Jennifer feels blessed to
have taught music to children of all ages from toddlers to high school students.
Jennifer is excited to be a part of Kindermusik to help children and their parents
learn and grow together by experiencing music in class and at home. Jennifer’s
first experience with Kindermusik was with her son, Blake, who is currently,
enrolled in the program.
